Our Vision

Sword Art Online — a beloved franchise that captured the hearts of millions around the world. Over the years, countless fans have sought to recreate the feeling of being inside that universe, to live and fight within the floating castle of Aincrad.

In 2021, a simple idea took shape in the mind of Zerithax: to recreate the iconic Sword Art Online menu system within VRChat. From that spark, a team began to form — BocuD, LiveDimensions, Somnus, and NinoDV joined forces, giving birth to ArgusVRC and laying the foundation for something far greater than just a menu system.

What started as a passion project soon evolved into a vision — a fully realized Sword Art Online experience brought to life inside VRChat. Today, with the combined efforts of 32+ dedicated staff members and a growing community of over 17,000 players, ArgusVRC continues to push the limits of VRChat’s capabilities.

From handcrafted systems and custom-built models to enhanced combat and an expansive open world, every detail is carefully forged to bring Aincrad closer to reality. This is Project Aincrad — a dream reborn in virtual reality.
